Chris Teitzel - Founder / CEO

Long time technology enthusiast and first time entrepreneur, Chris brings the ability to develop original ideas and integrate cutting edge technology. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in Molecular Biology from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California.

Though trained in the inner workings of life, Chris comes from a legacy of technology. His grandfather paved the path, joining IBM in 1957 and working for over 30 years with Big Blue. His father then followed joining IBM in 1981 and is still an employee over 30 years later. From this, Chris' childhood was spent learning the inner workings of computers, leaning basic programming skills, and building his own machines.

Working in research and development for large non-profit organizations and small startups, Chris relied upon his knowledge of science theory and technology to create solutions wherever he went. It was his idea for a market leading fitness application that blossomed into the formation of Cellar Door and he is already proven his abilities the technology market when the app, ZimFit, was recently ranked as one of the top 10 selling mobile applications, in the iTunes Fitness marketplace. Chris spends much of his time behind the keyboard writing code and personally staying connected with clients and their projects.

Recently, Chris has become more involved in the Drupal community at large. He is part of the "Omega Team" which maintains and supports the rapidly growing Omega Theme. In October 2011, he had the opportunity to present at the Pacific Northwest Drupal Summit on the recent developments in Responsive Web Design and how the Omega theme is progressing. You can find him actively involved in the IRC chatroom #drupal-omega or in the community boards as well.

When Chris is not writing code or coming up with new and exciting ideas he sits on the board of a startup non-profit organization, Hope With Love, and is an active volunteer in Young Life. He spends his off time in the mountains snowboarding or strolling throughout Pike Place Market in Seattle for fresh food with his wife and English Bulldog.
